Also I’m pretty sure both Lisbeth and Mikael are both mary sues based on the fact that literally every other character in the book wants to have sex with at least one of them
TW rape stuff I guess. I’m almost finished Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I started yesterday. I’m hooked, and my only negative comments involve how many times feminist/women writers are name-dropped by Mikael (like we get it, Mr Larsson, you really want feminists to approve of your book) and how the only character in the whole book that is physically described in detail is Lisbeth (and all other women are also physically described to some degree, and the only man who is, is the main rapist). Thats a pretty good track record for a popular book. I mean it was also extremely triggering but I knew that going in.
